Job Description
Structural Analysis Engineer

We are supporting a key client in the Nordic energy market with an upcoming requirement for a Structural Analysis Engineer to support hydropower projects across design, upgrade, and life extension scopes. This is a strong opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within a stable and growing sector.
Key responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and calculations for hydropower assets including dams, spillways, intakes, and associated structures
- Deliver FE analysis and verification of concrete and steel structures in line with Eurocodes and relevant Swedish standards
- Assess structural integrity, fatigue, and load cases including hydrostatic, seismic, and environmental loading
- Support refurbishment and upgrade projects, including condition assessments and strengthening solutions
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams across civil, hydraulic, and geotechnical disciplines
- Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and design reviews
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience in structural analysis, ideally within hydropower, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of FE tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar
- Knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design standards
- Ability to work in Sweden with strong English communication skills, Swedish is beneficial
