Senior QHSE Officer Long Island, USA

 

Location: Long Island, USA

Rotation: 4 weeks

Rotation: 28/28 days

Hours: 12 hour days

Start date February

Duration: 4 month initial contract

 

For a major international client we seek to make the addition of a Senior QHSE Officer for a project in Long Island, USA. Starting in February 2023, for an initial 4 month contract consisting of 2 rotations each for 2 Senior QHSE Officers, on a back to back basis.

What is required of a successful applicant to this position?

 

  • Provide support to the project team for all QHSE related matters
  • Ensure that personnel use the latest versions of PQMP, PHSEMP, ITP, MST, RA, etc.
  • Project QHSE reporting, KPI and communications with Project management and vessel
  • Participating in meetings and toolboxes onboard and on site
  • Investigation incidents & non-conformities
  • Engage the supervisors and workforce to actively participate in HSE matters and campaigns
  • Carry out HSE inspections on the workfloor and ensure proper reporting, communication and follow-up of the findings
  • Management SHOC cards on board/on site
  • Familiarity with HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA (Lean Six Sigma) and other risk assessment techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of maintaining an Operation Management system

 

Technical profile requirements

  • Proven track record in QHSE functions in high risk industries, preferably in Offshore Wind, construction or Heavy Logistics

 

Non-Technical profile requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Good knowledge & experience with MS Office
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken

 

Methodology/Certification requirements

  • MSC/MSc Degree in Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanic Engineering, Chemical Engineering OR equivalent through experience
  • Valid Offshore certification (BOSIET, GWO BST and HUET) is a plus
