Senior Project Manager – Solar PV

Leap29 is working with an international IPP focused on the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects worldwide. With an extensive global pipeline, our client is expanding its presence in Hungary, where it has been actively developing solar projects since establishing local operations in 2020 under the national subsidy framework.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of solar PV projects in Hungary. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

-         Oversee all phases of solar PV project development and execution

-         Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility assessments for new sites

-         Define scopes of work and budget estimates for project proposals

-         Manage RFP processes and support selection of EPC contractors

-         Lead contract negotiations with subcontractors and vendors

-         Ensure project timelines, milestones, and critical paths are met

-         Coordinate with utilities and regulatory authorities for permitting and grid connection

-         Identify and mitigate project risks proactively

-         Maintain strong project documentation and reporting

Requirements

-         Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field

-         Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy project development

-         Familiarity with the Hungarian Electricity Act and PV permitting processes

-         Proven leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

-         Strong organisational and time management abilities

-         Fluent in English

-         Willingness to travel to project sites as required
