Senior Process Engineer - Offshore Projects

Location: Schiedam 
Duration: 12 month contract to permanent employment
Start Date: June onwards

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer with a strong background in offshore projects and assets, particularly involving design and development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore specific projects, including basic and detailed design of offshore platforms, hydraulic calculations, and expertise in designing and developing offshore structures and equipment using engineering principles.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the detailed design of offshore platforms and equipment, utilizing advanced engineering principles
• Oversee hydraulic calculations and advanced design modelling for offshore structures
• Drive continuous improvement of offshore design processes and standards, incorporating industry best practices and technological advancements
• Actively participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and safe offshore engineering solutions
• Conduct feasibility studies for proposed offshore facilities with a focus on design optimisation and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the design and development of offshore structures
• Deliver increased levels of safe production by optimising, debottlenecking, and implementing reliability-related improvements, with a strong emphasis on design considerations
• Develop innovative plans to mitigate environmental impact of offshore installations, integrating sustainable design practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with offshore specific projects, with a strong focus on design and development
• Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field with a strong emphasis on design principles
• Strong expertise in hydraulic calculations, offshore platform design, and equipment development
• Proven track record of effectively managing construction and maintenance projects at offshore sites with a design-centric approach
• In-depth knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to offshore projects, particularly in the context of design considerations
