Job Description
Senior Process Engineer
Location: Den Haag
Duration: 12-month renewable contract
Start Date: October 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide process engineering services, ensuring compliance with client, customer, and regulatory standards, delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead, manage, or supervise process engineering project requirements as needed.
- Perform tasks such as attending meetings, preparing progress reports, and following project scope and change management processes.
- Offer support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases (e.g., writing requisitions, conducting bid evaluations, and creating purchase orders).
- Act as the lead for process engineering on specific projects, when necessary.
- For team leaders: define project requirements, promote work-share, assign tasks, and ensure timely, compliant project delivery.
- Resolve any discrepancies between client and customer needs proactively.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments and innovations in process engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers, when needed.
- Communicate clearly with the engineering team, project stakeholders, and customers.
- Identify and address issues, develop solutions, and seek assistance when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with renewable hydro-treatment (RHU), hydro-treated vegetable oil pre-treatment (PTU), or wastewater treatment (WWT).
- Familiarity with AVEVA Engineering and SmartPlant-PID tools.
- Prior experience as an area lead engineer is a plus.
- English proficiency (Spanish is a bonus).
Must have Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years' experience as a process engineer with engineering contractor companies.
- Experience must include working on Define phase refinery projects.
