Medior/Senior Instrumentation & Process Control Engineer – Schiedam, Netherlands
Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months you will go into a potential permanent position
Language Requirement: Dutch Speaking
We are looking for a Medior or Senior Engineer in Instrumentation & Process Control to support both small and large-scale industrial projects across diverse sectors. You’ll work within multidisciplinary teams, contributing your expertise to help future-proof industrial processes.

Your Responsibilities
- Act as the Instrumentation & Process Control Engineer on projects, reporting to the Lead Engineer.
- Deliver high-quality engineering documentation on time and within budget.
- Prepare deliverables including Instrument Indexes, Specifications, Datasheets, Hook-ups, and Loop Diagrams.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and engineering leads on planning, budgets, and technical issues.
Key Requirements
- Strong understanding of P&ID development and interpretation.
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient with engineering database systems, ideally Comos or SPI (Hexagon).
- MBO+ or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Technical Physics, or similar.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control.
- Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, able to work independently within a team.
