Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development, construction, and commissioning of electrical and utilities infrastructure for a new data centre in Madrid. This role will also support business development and strategy activities related to project development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead energy & utilities projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with goals.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and utilities for HV/MV infrastructure.
  • Supervise design and construction of substations and power lines, ensuring timely, budget-aligned delivery.
  • Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
  • Track progress, conduct meetings, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts and bids with contractors, developers, and consultants.
  • Evaluate site due diligence and resolve factors impacting project handover.
  • Analyze deliverables, raise queries, and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports to support decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical, Industrial, Energy Engineering, or related
  • Advanced knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems and Spanish electricity regulations; experience in other countries a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience with DSOs, TSPs, suppliers, or utilities.
  • Experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of HV/MV substations and underground power lines.
  • Familiarity with power line concessions, interconnection agreements, and utilities operating models.
  • Data center client experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; proactive, autonomous, flexible, and commercially astute.
