Project Manager
 
Location: Thailand
Employment type: Contract 6 months
Reporting to: Regional Engineering Leader.
 
About the role:
Lead the delivery of the site project from detailed design through construction, commissioning and handover. Responsible for schedule, budget, client relationship, multidisciplinary coordination, HSE, risk and third-party contractors.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Overall project leadership: schedule, budget, scope, quality and risk management.
  • Lead interface coordination across Civil/Structural/Architectural (CSA), Electrical, Mechanical and Process disciplines.
  • Act as primary client point of contact whilst maintaining confidentiality and client governance processes.
  • Manage EPC/subcontractors: contracts, scope definition, progress tracking, change control and claims avoidance.
  • Ensure design review cycles are completed and coordinate approvals, RFIs and technical clarifications.
  • Drive procurement strategy for long-lead electrical and structural items; support bidding and vendor selection.
  • Oversee commissioning strategy and handover; ensure completeness of documentation (MTO, O&M, As-built drawings).
  • Enforce HSE and site security protocols; manage permits and local authority interactions.
  • Report to program steering committees with clear status and risk mitigation plans.
Experience & skills (must-haves):
  • Degree in Engineering with significant project management experience (8–15+ years) on medium-to-large industrial or manufacturing projects.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects where CSA interface complexity is high (plant installs, building-integrated manufacturing facilities).
  • Strong commercial and contract management skills (experience with EPC and subcontractor model).
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, with solid stakeholder management (clients, authorities, vendors).
  • Experience in Thailand / ASEAN region or demonstrated capability to manage across different regulatory environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication in English; Thai language skills advantageous.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2) is a plus. Nice-to-haves
  • Background in flavours, fragrance, food & beverage manufacturing projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainability / decarbonisation / process water / utilities considerations.
