Job Description
Job Title: Piping Engineer (Contract)
Location: UK
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Piping Engineer with experience in Gas plants, Oil Refinery, or LNG plants on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in the design, analysis, and construction of piping systems. The ideal candidate should be experienced in brownfield Pre-Feed and Feed projects, industry codes and specifications, and must be a UK resident.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform piping design and analysis using industry standards, codes, and specifications
Prepare piping drawings, isometrics, material take-offs, and specifications
Develop piping engineering documents such as equipment specifications, data sheets, and piping material specifications
Conduct technical reviews of vendor documents to ensure compliance with project specifications
Provide technical guidance to project team members, including piping designers and drafters
Participate in technical meetings with clients and vendors to ensure project requirements are met
Participate in project risk assessments and provide input on mitigation measures
Ensure compliance with project schedule, budget, and quality requirements
Participate in the development of project execution plans and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in piping engineering in Gas plants, Oil Refinery, or LNG plants
Experience in brownfield Pre-Feed and Feed projects
Familiarity with industry codes and specifications such as ASME, API, and ASTM
Experience in piping stress analysis using Caesar II or similar software
Experience in reviewing vendor documents and providing technical guidance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be a UK resident
