Job Description

Living Quarters (LQ) Construction Superintendent

Duration: ASAP – December 2026  

Location: Italy

 

We are looking for an experienced LQ Construction Superintendent to oversee the delivery of Living Quarters modules across fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.

This role sits at the heart of execution, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of accommodation facilities within complex oil & gas projects.

 

The role

You will take ownership of all construction and integration activities relating to Living Quarters, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and timelines.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing day-to-day construction activities for the LQ module at yard or site.
  • Supervising multidisciplinary teams across civil, architectural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and telecoms.
  • Overseeing fit-out, finishes, furnishings, insulation, and architectural elements.
  • Coordinating installation of critical systems including HVAC, firefighting, PA/GA, lighting, and lifesaving equipment.
  • Working closely with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitoring progress, participating in coordination meetings, and resolving site issues
  • Ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g. NORSOK, SOLAS, IMO, ABS, DNV).
  • Enforcing HSE requirements including PTW, confined space, scaffolding, and hot work controls.
  • Supporting mechanical completion, punch listing, pre-commissioning, and handover activities.

 

 

What we’re looking for

  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) with 8+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong background in offshore Living Quarters or similar facilities.
  • Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction scopes.
  • Good understanding of offshore habitability, fire safety, and escape systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicator with solid reporting ability.
