Job Title: Lead CSA Engineer (Civil, Structural & Architectural)
Location: Hengelo or Groningen, Netherlands
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead CSA Engineer to take responsibility for the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) scope of industrial and infrastructure projects in the Netherlands. This role requires strong technical leadership, coordination across disciplines, and hands-on expertise in design, engineering, and project execution. As the Lead CSA Engineer, you will act as the key contact for CSA activities, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and timely delivery across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all CSA engineering activities for assigned projects.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to CSA engineers, designers, and BIM specialists.
Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, Dutch building standards, and project-specific requirements.
Develop, review, and approve structural and civil calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Oversee contractor deliverables, ensuring technical integrity and constructability.
Support cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning for CSA scope.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
10+ years of experience in CSA engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a lead or senior engineer position.
Proven track record in industrial, chemical, energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Dutch annexes, and local regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with structural and civil engineering software (e.g., SCIA Engineer, Staad.Pro, Tekla, Revit).
Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Fluency in English required; Dutch is highly advantageous.
