Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer – Schiedam, Netherlands

Preferred Language Requirement: Dutch Speaking

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract working via agency, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position

They are looking for a Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer with experience with process control and COMOS software. A background with petrochemicals, hydrogen and refinery projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of instrumentation and control documentation (P & IDs, Instrument Data Sheets, Wiring Diagrams, Hook-Ups Primary -Secondary electrical / pneumatic, MTO specifications, etc)
• Experience with Process Control
• Assuming responsibility for risk assessment, requiring feasibility studies of the facility in case of danger, to ensure the health and safety of both company staff and the community around the facility (HAZOP, HAZID)
• Participation in training sessions either internal or external (if applicable)
• Participating in discussions with Suppliers to choose the correct equipment

Requirements:

• BSc degree in chemical or process engineering
• 5+ years' Instrument and controls experience
• Advanced knowledge of COMOS, CONVAL, Intrucalc, Navis, AutoCad, and MS Office.
• Project experience in industries in petrochemicals
• Knowledge of current standards and regulations
• Negotiation level of English
