Leap29 is excited to share a new opportunity with our client, a global renewable energy company with a strong presence in Europe and North America. Our client specialises in the development, ownership, and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects including wind, solar PV, and battery storage.

They are now looking for an Energy Manager to join their Madrid-based team starting in autumn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead short-term electricity market forecasting and asset optimisation (day-ahead, intraday)
• Drive market entry strategies and perform detailed regulatory assessments across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide deep insights into European and international power markets, regulations, and trading mechanisms
• Develop and apply advanced modelling and optimisation using Python, R, Matlab, Power BI, and SQL
• Manage and develop a high-performing market analysis team
• Adapt quickly to fast-changing market and regulatory environments

Key requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in energy market analysis and short-term asset optimization 
• Strong technical and commercial acumen, with proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of European and international electricity markets and regulations
• Proficient in Python, R, Matlab, Power BI, SQL, and advanced forecasting tools
• Fluent in English and Spanish
