Energy Engineer – High Voltage (Cables & Lines)

Locations across the Netherlands: Rotterdam, Hengelo, Eindhoven, Elsloo, Velsen Noord and Groningen 

An international engineering consultancy is seeking an Energy Engineer (High Voltage – Cables & Lines) to support the design and delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects across the Netherlands.

The Role:

You’ll be responsible for the technical design of overhead and underground cable routes, from concept to detailed engineering. This includes coordinating with clients, authorities, and internal disciplines to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review designs, drawings, and specifications for HV cables and lines
Ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and technical standards
Coordinate with stakeholders including municipalities, water boards, and clients
Support project execution with technical advice and quality oversight

Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Energy, or Civil Engineering
3+ years’ experience in high-voltage or utility infrastructure projects
Strong communication and analytical skills
Fluent in English; Dutch language skills (or willingness to learn) preferred
