About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced EE Project Manager to support the delivery of high-impact energy efficiency projects in Italy.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and long-term asset performance. You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and external service providers to successfully execute technically complex projects across a range of industrial and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of energy efficiency projects across Italy.
  • Manage projects involving technologies such as HVAC systems, industrial utilities (heating, cooling, compressed air), and refrigeration.
  • Identify, assess, and qualify subcontractors and service providers, including negotiating commercial terms and managing contracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with HSE Coordinators, Site Supervisors, technical departments, and management teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee technical implementation, resolve project-related issues, and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and in line with expected performance targets.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal procedures, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct energy audits across a variety of sectors, including commercial buildings, logistics facilities, and industrial sites.
  • Analyse site energy performance and identify opportunities for energy savings and operational improvements.
  • Develop and propose energy efficiency solutions, including preliminary engineering design, technical assessments, and budget preparation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified Engineer, preferably in Energy or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing EPC and/or construction projects related to energy efficiency solutions for industrial clients.
  • Proven experience gained within energy services companies or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial utility systems, including heating, cooling, compressed air, and MV/LV electrical systems.
  • Good understanding of Italian energy efficiency regulations and incentive schemes, including White Certificates (TEE) and Conto Termico.
  • Solid knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and optimisation measures across multiple energy vectors such as cooling, steam, climate systems, and lighting.
  • A combination of technical engineering expertise and construction/project delivery experience is highly desirable.
  • EGE certification would be considered an advantage.
