Electrical Service Engineer
Job Description
Leap29 is working with a leading international energy technology company to hire a skilled Service Engineer to join their Norwegian team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex systems both onshore and offshore, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and upgrades across electrical, automation, and mechanical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, installation, calibration, and replacement of electrical and automation equipment.

Work with PLC and HMI systems, including programming, software installation, and updates.

Carry out commissioning and service activities both onshore and offshore.

Apply strong process knowledge to understand and support complex system functions.

Conduct mechanical maintenance, modifications, and vibration measurements.

Service and maintain compressors, cooling, and chiller systems.

Provide technical training to crew and operators as required.
Requirements

Background in Electrical and Automation Engineering with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and commissioning.

Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems.

Mechanical skills, including equipment replacement, installation, and maintenance.

Strong understanding of process systems and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Excellent safety awareness and commitment to following safety protocols.

Ability to work independently for extended periods in demanding environments worldwide.

Comfortable with extensive travel (approximately 180 days per year).

Strong preparation and organizational skills with a proactive mindset.

Must be based in the central region of Norway.
