Job Description

Datacenter Powershell Development Lead

We’re seeking an accomplished leader to spearhead the development and commercialization of large-scale energy transition and infrastructure projects — from concept through sale or construction. This role combines strategic vision, technical leadership, and business acumen to build high-value renewable and low-carbon portfolios across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a multi-fuel energy strategy to power hyperscale data center portfolios using a blend of hydrogen, natural gas, and renewable natural gas (RNG).
  • Lead commercial modeling, technology evaluation, and partnership development to optimize cost, reliability, and carbon intensity — aligning power supply strategies with investor expectations, regulatory frameworks, and long-term offtake agreements.
  • Lead full lifecycle development of complex infrastructure assets (e.g., renewable generation, hydrogen, RNG, data centers, storage, transmission).
  • Own all aspects of project creation — technical, environmental, real estate, financial, commercial, and regulatory.
  • Direct due diligence, engineering, permitting, and interconnection studies for multi-GW portfolios.
  • Structure and negotiate joint ventures, project sales, and investment transactions with global infrastructure developers.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams and external consultants across engineering, legal, and financial disciplines.
  • Drive innovation in energy transition strategies, including hydrogen, solar, storage, and data center integration.

Ideal Candidate

  • 15–20+ years of progressive leadership in renewable energy or infrastructure development.
  • Proven track record developing and monetizing GW-scale projects or portfolios (> $1B enterprise value).
  • Experience in implementing a multi-fuel energy strategy to power hyperscale data center
  • Deep understanding of project finance, commercial structuring, and market dynamics.
  • Oversee commercial due diligence including PPA/offtake negotiations, M&A strategy, and transaction execution
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience founding, scaling, or pivoting new business lines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and team leadership across technical and commercial domains.
  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy, Legal, or related field (advanced degree or Stanford/Tufts-style credentials a plus).
