Cost Manager – Data Centre

Contract: 12 Months with potential permanent opportunity

Start: ASAP

Rate: Competitive

Sector: Data Centre / Mission Critical

 

Leap29 is currently supporting a major Data Centre project in Vienna and is looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join the project team on an initial 12-month contract.

This is a client-facing position working closely with the Project Director, construction teams and wider MEP delivery team, supporting the commercial and cost management of a major Data Centre development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project costs across Electrical, MEP and Construction packages
  • Maintain cost forecasts, budgets and project cost reporting
  • Track committed and actual expenditure against project budgets
  • Support the management of variations, change orders and additional works
  • Review contractor and subcontractor commercial submissions
  • Identify cost risks and potential budget impacts
  • Support procurement and commercial evaluation of project packages
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and package leads
  • Provide clear cost reporting and commercial information to the Project Director and client
  • Support project commercial activities through construction and delivery

 

Experience

We are open to candidates from a range of construction backgrounds. Previous Data Centre experience is advantageous but not essential.

 

Relevant backgrounds could include:

  • Data Centres / Mission Critical
  • Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences
  • Semiconductor / Advanced Manufacturing
  • Major MEP or complex construction projects

 

Candidates with experience as a Cost Manager, Senior Cost Manager, Cost Engineer, Project Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, MEP Quantity Surveyor or direct project manager experience will be considered.

 

Strong experience in cost control, forecasting, change management and working with construction/MEP project teams would be particularly relevant.
