Location: Vienna, Austria (Base) with project assignments in Germany (Mainz/Berlin)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

 

Leap29 is recruiting on behalf of a leading international engineering contractor specialising in mission-critical and industrial projects across Europe.

 

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a growing Data Centre division, supporting the delivery of large-scale hyperscale projects across Germany.

 

Working as part of an experienced commissioning team, you will play a key role in the testing, commissioning and successful handover of complex HVAC and mechanical building services systems throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission, test and optimise HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Manage assigned commissioning work packages from planning through to completion.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives.
  • Produce commissioning documentation, test records and handover documentation.
  • Support pressure testing, system validation and commissioning activities.
  • Work closely with project management, construction teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

 

Requirements

  • Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, HVAC or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within Mechanical or HVAC Commissioning.
  • Previous Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments.
