Commissioning Lead – Hyperscale Data Centre

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Lead to oversee the delivery and execution of commissioning activities on a hyperscale data centre project in the Netherlands. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring all systems are tested, verified, and handed over to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

You’ll lead commissioning teams through all project phases — from design review and pre-functional testing to integrated systems testing and client handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.

• Develop and implement detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.

• Oversee FATs, SATs, and integrated systems testing to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Work closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Track and document commissioning progress, producing detailed reports and punch lists.

• Ensure all commissioning documentation meets client and regulatory standards.

• Lead and mentor commissioning engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in commissioning, preferably within hyperscale or large-scale data centres.

• Proven track record in managing end-to-end commissioning processes on MEP-critical projects.

• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, BMS, and control systems.

• Experience with Tier III or Tier IV facilities is highly desirable.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Degree or technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.

• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

• EU work rights preferred
