Cloud-Native Developer (Python / OpenStack / Kubernetes)

We’re looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong cloud-native skills to help design, build, and scale critical OpenStack-based infrastructure. You’ll work with Kubernetes, contribute to upstream open source, and support production-grade environments.

Details:

• Contract length – 2 years
• Start date – November
• Fully Remote – EU Based

What You’ll Do

• Develop and enhance cloud-native services in Python
• Contribute to OpenStack and related open-source tools
• Deploy to Kubernetes (Helm charts, CRDs, Operators)
• Debug and support production systems, including on-call rotation
• Improve observability with metrics, logs & alerts (Prometheus, Perses)
• Write automated tests (unit, functional, integration)
• Collaborate in an Agile team (sprints, code reviews, backlog grooming)

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years software development experience
• 3+ years hands-on Python (async I/O, design patterns, packaging)
• Strong Kubernetes deployment skills (Helm authoring, CRDs)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Knowledge of OpenStack (AWS/Azure experience is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Perses)
• Contributions to open-source projects (esp. OpenStack)
• Understanding of distributed systems & microservices
• Familiarity with Go for infra tooling
