ATEX Lead – Testing & Acceptance of Equipment

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced ATEX Lead to take responsibility for the testing, inspection, and acceptance of equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. This critical role involves leading laboratory operations sustainably, managing and developing a technical team, and providing expert technical guidance to both customers and partner laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the testing and acceptance process for ATEX-compliant equipment

• Ensure the sustainable and compliant operation of laboratory testing processes

• Provide professional and disciplinary leadership, guiding and developing a skilled team

• Coordinate, implement, evaluate, and document detailed test procedures

• Deliver technical support to both customers and partner laboratories

• Carry out inspections, audits, and acceptance testing

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards

Required Skills & Experience

• A technical degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent vocational training)

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working within the ATEX environment

• Auditor training or certification is highly desirable

• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken

• Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and strong team collaboration skills
