Assistant Manager for projects and operations
Position – Permanent
Location – Singapore with regional travel
Start Date – Immediate

The Role
Reporting into the General Manager, this role is to support the project teams in APAC, to ensure smooth execution of the projects and ensure quotations of commercial aspects are achieved on time and budget. In addition to support the sales team in the APAC through contract signing and notice to proceed.
This role provides a bridge between the 3 teams – Sales, Engineering and Project.
The Responsibilities
Commercial
- Responsible for liaising with HQ Business Groups to realize project bids through contract closeout
- Work closely with HQ commercial team to review/understand contractual terms & conditions
- Understand customer’s needs, propose solution, and aim to spec-in
- Support commercial clarifications with customers
Operations
- Handle commercial matters as a commercial point of contact together with on-site project team and commercial team during project implementation (Window for customer and coordinator)
- Work closely with on-site project team to assure customers expectations are exceeded (on-site as required)
- providers / subcontractors to ensure cost effective and qualified staffing of APAC projects
- Support APAC Region Visa application requirements for site visits and work
- Support technical clarifications with customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent as well as strong familiarity with turbine and generator technology
- More than 5 years’ experience in technical sales and services, operations field
- Self-motivated, positive and enthusiastic, with initiative and drive, and a strong sense of urgency in solving problems
- Experience about Power Business and products including Competitors, that encompass of working knowledge of parts, repairs, and maintenance services
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations
- Ability to travel overseas (according to safe new norms) as and when required based on business needs
