Job Description

Position: Project Manager / Senior Project Manager EPC Projects
Location: Preferred Oslo, but flexible within Europe
Contract Type: Staff or contract considered

 

An established international engineering firm is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their team delivering large-scale EPC projects in emerging markets. This role will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager / Tender Manager and take full ownership of all technical aspects across disciplines.

 

Role Overview:

  • Lead and coordinate the engineering scope on assigned projects, including process, mechanical, piping/layout, structural, E&I, telecoms, and 3D modelling.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams (typically 40100+ engineers) on projects valued between $30M and $100M+.
  • Ensure engineering execution aligns with project schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Act as a key technical point of contact between engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams.
  • Support tendering and project development activities by proposing technical solutions and optimising concepts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute engineering activities across all project phases.
  • Maintain oversight of technical progress, resolving issues proactively.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments including business development, sales, and lifecycle services.
  • Identify risks and improvement areas to drive efficient project delivery.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of tenders, supporting handovers and submissions.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 510 yearsexperience leading multi-discipline engineering teams within EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of the interfaces between engineering, procurement, and fabrication.
  • Skilled in managing rotating and static equipment, piping, valves, instrumentation, and supporting systems.
  • Able to make decisions under uncertainty and prioritise key deliverables.
  • Organised and commercially aware, capable of balancing technical and business requirements.
