Job Description

Country Manager – France (Paris)

Paris | Wind, Solar & AgriPV

I'm currently working with a leading Independent Power Producer in the renewable energy space, who are hiring for a Country Manager – France, based in Paris. The company is active across Wind, Solar, and AgriPV, with a strong focus on wind projects and ambitious growth plans in the French market.

This is a newly created, exclusive position, offering the right person a key leadership role in shaping the company’s footprint across France.

About the Role

This is a strategic and hands-on position for someone with strong development experience and the ability to lead and build high-performing teams. Ideally, you will have exposure to the full project lifecycle – including development, construction, financing/offtake, and operations – but development and team leadership experience is an absolute must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and oversee the development of renewable energy projects in France, particularly wind (but also solar and agriPV).
  • Develop and execute strategies for project origination, permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and offtake.
  • Build and lead a local team, ensuring delivery against project and company milestones.
  • Support or lead efforts across the full value chain: from early-stage development through to construction and operations (depending on your background).
  • Act as the key representative for the company in France – including partner/stakeholder relationships, local authorities, and wider industry events.
  • Collaborate with international teams across legal, finance, and technical functions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in renewable energy development (5–10+ years), ideally with IPPs or developers.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing projects from early-stage through to financial close or COD.
  • Exposure to multiple areas of the value chain (construction, financing, operations) is highly desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial acumen, and strategic thinking.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Engineering, environmental, or business background (MSc or MBA preferred but not essential).

This is a rare chance to step into a country-level leadership position with a rapidly growing player in the European renewables market.
