Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Bergen, Norway (Rotational Basis)
Contract: 12 Months
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support a major Oil and Gas project based in Bergen, Norway. This is a 12-month contract role working on a rotational schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute commissioning activities for electrical systems in line with project schedules and procedures

Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of LV/MV electrical equipment and systems

Troubleshoot, test, and verify electrical installations to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements

Review and approve technical documentation, test procedures, and commissioning reports

Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure safe and efficient execution

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE standards and local regulations

Support punch list activities and follow up on completions and handovers
Requirements:

Degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar

Proven experience in electrical commissioning on offshore or large industrial projects

Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control panels

Familiarity with Norwegian standards and offshore commissioning practices is an advantage

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Valid offshore certifications (or ability to obtain)

Willingness to work on a rotational basis out of Bergen
