Package Fabrication Engineer
Location: Stavanger / Oslo based
Start: ASAP
Duration: 8 months with renewal / extension
A Norwegian client, who are a leading subsea EPCI are looking to engage a Package Fabrication Engineer to their team.
What do they want from you?
This role involves managing technical aspects of supplier packages during early project or bidding phases, including specification development, supplier coordination, documentation review, and schedule follow-up. It also includes regular site visits, offshore trips, and close collaboration with internal disciplines and clients to ensure successful delivery and integration of equipment.
Description:
- Provide technical input and specifications for specific packages at projects early/bidding stage
- Participate in technical evaluation of supplier quotations
- Perform and coordinate review and approval of supplier technical documentation
- Coordinate and communicate with other project disciplines (Installation, Engineering, HSEQ, Material)
- Liaise with clients
- Coordinate preparation, review and approval of nonconformance requests, deviations, technical queries and change requests
- Attend, organize and coordinate inspection during package fabrication, testing, commissioning and packing
- Organize and chair weekly technical meetings with suppliers
- Close follow up of the supplier schedule to ensure timely delivery of the package
- Regular travels to fabrication sites
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing / System Integration Testing (FAT/SIT) at suppliers
- Attend offshore trips onboard construction vessels
Requirements:
- 3-5 years relevant fabrication experience (any of: structural / subsea flexibles / subsea rigid spools, GRP covers etc.)
- Interest for fabrication activities (material, welding, NDT, coating, etc.)
- Familiar with the relevant fabrication codes (NO RSOK, DNV)
