Maintenance Coordinator – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

Location: Alkmaar, Netherlands (Onshore Operations)

As a Maintenance Coordinator E&I, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical and instrumentation systems across our onshore facilities. You will act as the key link between technicians, vendors, and operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of work.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in E&I who enjoys overseeing end-to-end maintenance processes, managing work packs, and ensuring high HSE and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare work packs for complex maintenance activities, minor modifications, and vendor-supported interventions
  • Supervise and guide E&I technicians, ensuring safe and timely execution of tasks
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and service providers on site
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings with Operations and align on scheduling
  • Ensure all work complies with internal procedures, HSE policies, and industry standards
  • Maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program in Maximo
  • Conduct site visits, review vendor reports, and follow up with necessary work orders
  • Manage quality checks (QA/QC) and documentation for materials and completed work
  • Provide input to maintenance planning and improvement initiatives (3M plans, MOCs)
  • Lead by example in safety culture and reporting of incidents or hazards
  • Support in cost control and tracking of spare parts and services used

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (HTS/MTS+) in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years’ experience in maintenance coordination or engineering within oil & gas or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of LV/HV systems, control systems, instrumentation, and safety systems
  • Familiarity with Maximo or similar CMMS tools
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • VCA VOL certified
  • Leadership qualities and strong organisational skills
