Energy Transition Engineer
Job Description
As a (Senior) Energy Transition Engineer, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of projects within the secondary installation domain, focusing on the control and protection systems of the high-voltage grid. You will be responsible for developing basic designs, preparing work specifications and budgets, and verifying that all designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
This position requires active monitoring of project quality, timelines, and progress. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Your scope of work will include both new construction projects and upgrades to existing systems, with clients located throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop secondary electrical systems for high-voltage grid infrastructure
Prepare technical documentation, including basic designs, specifications, and budgets
Ensure design compliance with demand specifications and applicable regulations
Track and report on project progress, quality assurance, and scheduling
Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders
Contribute to process improvements and the development of engineering standards
Your Profile
MBO-4 and/or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related field
Strong experience in the energy transition sector and power infrastructure projects
Familiarity with engineering software such as ELCAD or E-Plan is a plus
Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
In possession of a valid VOL-VCA certification
Detail-oriented and organized with a proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving
