Project Manager – Onshore Wind Consents and Planning
 
Leap29 are working closely with an Irish renewable energy firm for onshore wind, working to enable a sustainable energy future for the people of Ireland. Our client are passionate about developing our projects in a sustainable way. They work closely with local communities and key stakeholders, to ensure their views are heard to maximise the positive impact the projects have on the communities where our client operate.
 
Following the successful early-stage development of an onshore wind portfolio, our client are looking to expand its development team. As part of this expansion, the business is seeking a project manager to assist in moving our projects through the planning system.
 
About The Role:
The Project Manager is a full-time role for Onshore Wind. You will be responsible for managing the planning phase of onshore wind & solar projects. You will work closely to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for onshore wind and solar projects.
Procure and manage external consultants, including planning consultants, ecologists, and other technical specialists.
Support communications and interactions with external stakeholders such as local communities, landowners and planning authorities.
Collaborate with the internal development team to identify potential risks and assess proposals for risk mitigation. 
Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and deliverables to the Internal Team and Senior Management and Investment Team.
Collect and share industry and project information with the team.
Provide technical input into our investment committee interactions throughout the investment cycle.
 
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-4 years of experience in the renewable energy or planning sector.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Knowledge of Planning and Environmental Impact Assessments process for onshore wind projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented and proactive.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills.
