3D Conceptual Design Engineer

I am looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal 3D Conceptual Design Engineer to join my client’s global engineering disciplines team. This is a permanent position with an industry-leading organization, ideal for a professional with a strong background in 3D model concept studies for process modules and plants.

The ideal candidate will have a multi-disciplinary approach to concept design, incorporating piping, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and fabrication / constructability assessments. They will play a key role in designing and optimizing complex process systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D conceptual models for process modules and plants, ensuring innovative and high-quality designs.
• Utilize advanced 3D design tools such as Aveva E3D and AutoCAD Plant 3D to create accurate and detailed models.
• Work independently with a strong results-driven approach, optimizing designs to meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process technologies such as MEG Reclamation, TEG regeneration, sulphate removal units, produced water treatment, CO2 separation and capture, amine sweetening, separation, and sand handling.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing 3D conceptual studies for process plants and modules within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of process plant operations and technologies. A BSc degree is an advantage.
• Proficiency in 3D design tools such as Aveva PDMS/E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and SmartPlant 3D.
• Proven ability to work independently, focusing on results and design optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges.
