Director of Projects
Job Summary:
Oversee site activities in the execution of equipment and subcontractors in the construction and implementation of multiple commercial solar and ancillary energy projects, in execution of Company project plan. Develop and implement program standards and oversee major O&M outages.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead and manage project team
Lead project management process to ensure various measurement and contract requirements are adhere to
Act as department leader and contribute to the development of the departments overall long-range strategy and strategic goals
Oversee construction with vendor, contractors, landlord and tenants to ensure timely completion within budget
Oversee negotiation and documentation of vendor and contractor agreements for all clean energy platforms
Oversee a construction team of professionals in the construction of various clean energy platforms – solar, etc... Projects range from 2mw to 150mw and up to $150m dollars. This position may oversee 4-8 projects at one time
Oversee logistics (if any) to ensure timely completion within budget
Oversee the construction of approved electrical and construction engineering plans
Oversee the implementation of major O&M outages for various Company solar assets
Oversee approved commissioning test plans
Oversee and coordinate the negations and documentations of the EPC agreements for all Company platforms
Oversee commissioning testing program
Oversee permitting process
Oversee all landowner issues at the various project sites
Assist with the preparation of various reports and presentations for senior management
Assist with the preparation of various reports and presentations for senior management
Maintain effective internal and external contacts. Work in the spirit of cooperation that fosters teamwork and a sense of responsibility
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Professional Engineering certification or Masters’ Degree in Business/Construction Management preferred
At least 10-15 years’ experience in the industry along with working and leading various engineering and construction teams
Experience in working on solar and energy project implementations
License as a Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional Certification is desired
MS Office proficiency and effective communication skills required
Be willing to travel and spend necessary time at remote project locations
