Job Description:
Skilled Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities for our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining cost-effective procurement strategies while adhering to company policies and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials and services.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve the best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support project schedules.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material costs to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure procurement aligns with project needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Address supply chain disruptions and resolve procurement-related issues effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) for procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations.
