Job Description
Instrumentation Maintenance Technician – Europoort, Netherlands
Contract Duration: initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position
Preferred Language Requirement: Dutch Speaking
As an Instrumentation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for independently conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment at one of Europe’s largest refineries.
Your work will ensure the safe and optimal performance of critical assets. The maintenance disciplines—electrical, instrumentation, and analyzers—are distinct, enabling you to specialize further and make a meaningful impact within instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and specify required materials and tools in coordination with the Asset Planner.
- Provide advice and propose improvements to address malfunctions and operational issues.
- Supervise and support fellow technicians and in-house contractors.
- Coordinate the work of contractors during projects and turnarounds.
- Participate in the refinery’s call-out system and handle call-outs independently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- MBO diploma (level 3 or 4) in Electrical or Measurement and Control Engineering.
- Preferably, maintenance experience within the industry
- Certificates in NEN 3140 Low Voltage, VCA & Atex.
- Familiarity with SAP, maintenance work processes, permit processes, and risk assessment.
- Strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and a proactive work ethic.
- Quality-oriented, driven, and collaborative, with a desire to work alongside fellow specialists.
