Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

Location: Multiple Locations in Norway (Flexible)

Contract Type: 12-Month Initial Contract

Start Date: Flexible (Based on Notice Period)

With a busy project order book for 2025 and beyond, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects shaping the future of the subsea industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

System Design: Develop electrical and instrumentation designs for subsea systems, including control systems, power distribution, and instrumentation layouts.

Project Delivery: Ensure electrical and instrumentation designs meet project specifications, deadlines, and budget requirements.

Testing & Commissioning: Support the testing, calibration, and commissioning of E&I systems for subsea applications.

Technical Expertise: Perform calculations and simulations to validate system designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, structural, and offshore engineers, to integrate E&I systems seamlessly into projects.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs and implementations comply with industry standards such as IEC, API, and DNV, as well as internal quality and HSE guidelines.

Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including electrical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, and reports.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.

 

Experience:

A strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering within the subsea sector, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Proven expertise in designing and delivering subsea E&I systems, such as subsea control systems, umbilicals, or power distribution units.

Proficiency in E&I design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).

Strong understanding of industry standards and subsea best practices.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
