O&M Manager

Leap29 is excited to present a fantastic opportunity with a leading global renewables company specialising in sustainable energy solutions. We are seeking an experienced O&M Manager to take ownership of the O&M processes for our client's growing portfolio of solar PV plants across Central and Eastern Europe. This role offers an exciting opportunity to maximize plant performance, ensure operational efficiency, and drive business success, while managing a team of contractors and collaborating with key stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring our plants meet or exceed business plans and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- O&M Process Management: Oversee the entire O&M lifecycle from plant commissioning to the end of the contract, ensuring optimal plant performance.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor plant performance, analyse data, and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and output. Track performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, grid operators, landowners, and contractors to coordinate maintenance interventions and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Contractor Management: Identify, contract, and manage subcontractors for specialized O&M activities. Ensure that O&M contracts are adhered to, and performance is optimized.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to management and clients. Analyze performance data to identify underperformance and initiate claims where applicable.
- QHSE Compliance: Ensure all O&M operations adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, in coordination with the corporate HSE team.
- Budget & Cost Control: Prepare O&M budgets, forecast performance, and manage expenses to stay within financial targets.
- Training & Development: Coordinate training programs for employees on technical, safety, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Relevant degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power, or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the PV industry, with at least 2 years in a technical capacity.
- At least 2 years of O&M experience, with specific experience in ground-mounted solar PV.
- Strong electrical background, particularly in solar PV systems.
- Proficient in PV plant performance monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
- Familiar with PV simulation tools like PVSyst, Helioscope, SolarGIS, and remote monitoring platforms.
- Strong knowledge of energy metering, reporting systems, and O&M contract management.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerBI for performance tracking and reporting.
- Fluent in English (Czech, Bulgarian, Hungarian, or Slovak a plus).
