Job Description – Project Manager Business Development

 

My client are a fully integrated, Italian IPP operating along the entire value chain, from generation to storage. They are seeking a Project Manager to join our Development Function team, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager. In this role, you will support the authorization and development processes for Renewable Energy projects, contributing to all stages of project delivery, from design to commissioning.

As a key member of the team, you will assist in coordinating various development activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements. Your role will be essential in supporting the smooth execution of renewable energy projects within an integrated and forward-thinking environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preliminary project design by supporting internal teams, external consultants, and design studios in key development activities, such as site pre-selection, environmental analysis, wind and/or solar potential assessment, and layout optimization.
  • Support the management of the authorization process, including preparation and revision of documentation for EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment), PAS (Simplified Enabling Procedure), and A.U. (Single Authorization).
  • Assist with managing relationships with authorities, regulatory bodies, and local communities involved in the authorization procedures.
  • Support the acquisition process for land and area agreements required for the installation of RES plants and related infrastructure.
  • Assist in managing grid connection processes for RES plants, from the initial request through to commissioning, whether connecting to the electricity distribution grid or the national transmission grid.
  • Support the management of GSE applications and the related administrative procedures for securing incentive tariffs.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Some experience or exposure to RES project development, with an understanding of the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Knowledge of design requirements, safety standards, and regulations related to RES plants.
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in drawing and design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and general productivity tools (text, spreadsheets, presentations).
