Job Description
Project Engineer
Leap29 is supporting a prominent international company specialising in the design, development, construction, and maintenance of Solar PV and Energy Efficiency projects. With a strong presence across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, our client oversees the full project lifecycle.
We are seeking a Project Engineer to be responsible for advancing projects and delivering essential technical support as needed.
Location: Rome or Milan
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project activities to ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
- Collaborate with bid engineering to optimize costs during the tender phase.
- Coordinate with all personnel (both internal and external) involved in projects and construction sites, including Project Managers, Site Managers, HSE departments, Procurement, subcontractors, site technicians, and client representatives.
- Supervise external engineering firms responsible for drafting executive project designs.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings with Project Manager(s).
- Ensure compliance with all executive project standards and specifications.
- Manage, update, and archive all project documentation.
- Prepare project-related reports and documentation as needed.
- Support testing and commissioning activities for project sites as required.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and suppliers.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in designing complex electrical systems, especially for renewable energy installations.
- Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., PVSyst, MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Good command of the English language.
- Willingness to travel within Italy for short trips.
