Electrical Engineer Specialist

 

Location: Stavanger

Engagement: 12 month contract with extension / staff option following

Start date: Urgent

Rate: Daily or hourly rates

Focus: Early stage / FEED studies

 

My client, at the forefront of the energy transition, are looking to secure an Electrical Engineer Specialist on a 12 month contract basis, with the opportunity to secure either an extension or a staff role subsequently.

 

The key focus of this Specialist Engineer is to look at Early Phase and FEED, particularly studies.

 

The client business unit covers every project phase across oil & gas and renewables, including hydrogen solutions and carbon capture, from feasibility to operation.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

Your Purpose: Forging a Sustainable Future
As a Principal or Specialist Engineer, you'll be a key resource in shaping our discipline activities within early phase design, FEED and renewable energy. Your technical expertise and business understanding is important; it's about boosting client relationships through excellent project performance and seamless communication.

Key Responsibilities: Navigating Progress, Leading Innovation

  • Lead, manage, and monitor all activities within your discipline.
  • Spearhead the development of pioneering technologies and sustainable solutions.
  • Technical competence in Island and Grid connected Power Systems.
  • Experience as PRE for HV/MV/LV Switchgears, electrical generators, transformers and motors.
  • Ensure the flawless execution of studies, adhering to internal and external standards.
  • Strategically handle studies to mitigate risks, seize opportunities, and meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to hit project milestones and strengthen the company's market foothold.
  • Play a pivotal role in defining competency requirements and team structure.
  • Cultivate a united, high-performing team from project members.
  • Spot and nurture new business prospects with clients.
  • Foster robust relationships with stakeholders, from clients to partners.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree in Engineering Electrical
  • Demonstrable expertise in Early Phase / Front End engineering, encompassing cost, schedule, and execution.
  • Power Analysis Simulation skills, preferably ETAP and Power Factory - DIgSILENT.
  • Software skills in CYME / CYMPAC are desirable but not required.
  • Offshore experience is desirable but not required.
  • Familiar with relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Experience with Hydrogen, Ammonia, CCS, offshore wind Sub-sea power systems, is an advantage.
