Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Power & Motors) – Refinery Experience
Location: The Hague, Netherlands (Hybrid – 60:40 schedule, Office: Tuesday to Thursday)
Travel: Occasional travel to Rotterdam Refinery
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with solid experience in power and motor control systems to support our operations in the refinery sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MV and HV systems, including substations, cables, and motor control, with refinery experience being essential. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and involves occasional travel to the Rotterdam Refinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain MV and HV electrical systems, with a focus on substations, cable layouts, and motor control systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems across refinery projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to power systems and motor controls within the refinery.
Support the integration of electrical systems with process control and instrumentation systems.
Conduct site visits at the Rotterdam Refinery for system assessments, installations, or maintenance activities as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in electrical engineering, focusing on MV and HV systems (substations, cables, power, and motor control).
Experience in the refinery sector is essential.
Experience with either EPC projects or working directly with operators in refinery environments.
Knowledge of both LV and HV systems is required, with a greater focus on MV and HV.
Design experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Solid individual contributor with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in an industrial/refinery setting.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and provide innovative solutions.
