Job Description
Project Manager
The Project Manager operates under the guidance of Senior Leadership, overseeing the planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of resources, timelines, costs, methods, and risk management for Tracker and Fixed Tilt solar rack projects.
This role involves working closely with internal teams at the client’s facilities and external vendors. Responsibilities include developing new components, fabricating prototype parts, performing tests and validations, obtaining and evaluating vendor quotes, and supporting vendor selection, among other tasks.
Additionally, this position supports production operations by contributing to industrial engineering, product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Travel may be required occasionally.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor the progress of project tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and in the correct sequence to meet project milestones.
- Communicate any deviations from the plan and help identify alternative solutions to restore project timelines and cost efficiency.
- Regularly track cost objectives, taking necessary actions to maintain budget targets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure all project elements are aligned and progressing as planned.
- Assist with fabricating prototype parts in-house or through external vendors, sourcing special components, placing orders, conducting tests, and preparing related reports.
- Maintain detailed reports to keep management informed of project status, including costs, schedules, and execution.
- Identify and procure necessary materials for project execution.
- Create and present comprehensive project plans to the client and internal teams.
**Qualifications:**
- Expertise in project management methodologies and proficiency with project management software.
- Experience in cost analysis, particularly target costing.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in solar rack production.
- Background in process improvement, manufacturing engineering, and inventory control.
- Excellent time management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in client-facing interactions.
