Lead Civil Structural Engineer
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and participate in structural planning of projects, including steel and concrete construction, AwSV structures as per WHG, and the development, leveling, and coordination of supply systems.
Create structural engineering designs for both new and existing structures, including calculations and documentation using specialized software (e.g., RStab, RFEM, DLUBAL, Robot, IDEA Statica).
Support the creation of detailed construction drawings, models, and documentation using construction planning software (e.g., TEKLA, REVIT, E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
Conduct field assessments, site inspections, and data collection to inform design decisions.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and specifications.
Mentor and guide junior technologists and designers.
Assist in preparing project estimates, schedules, and documents for proposals and tenders.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (including Eurocodes and NA), standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in client meetings, presenting design solutions and technical recommendations.
Support project risk management and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in civil engineering.
Experience in construction planning and management, ideally within the industrial sector.
Proficiency in design and calculation software, including TEKLA, REVIT, E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, RStab, RFEM, DLUBAL, Robot, and IDEA Statica.
Strong knowledge of structural aspects of industrial projects, including steel and concrete construction, AwSV structures as per WHG, and supply system development and coordination.
Experience with site inspections, data collection, and construction supervision.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Professional certification (e.g., qTWP) is an advantage.
