Job Description
As the Manager of Interconnection, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire interconnection and grid integration process for our renewable energy projects within ERCOT. You will manage transmission-related tasks such as technical evaluations, tariff and planning processes, contract negotiations, and full lifecycle project development. Your role is crucial in ensuring the successful integration of our projects into the grid, thereby supporting the growth of renewable energy in Texas.
Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary liaison with utilities, developers, consultants, and ERCOT to facilitate smooth communication and resolve interconnection challenges.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with utilities and ERCOT stakeholders to advocate for and support the company’s projects.

Interconnection Management:
- Manage the interconnection process for all projects, ensuring alignment with ERCOT standards and tracking key project milestones.
- Coordinate and interpret interconnection studies, working with internal and external teams to identify and overcome technical or regulatory obstacles.

Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts with utilities and other key stakeholders to optimize project designs and secure favorable terms.

Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical support through load flow modeling and transmission assessments to enhance project development and integration.
- Offer expert guidance on ERCOT interconnection processes, ensuring that project designs are compliant and optimized for grid integration.

Regulatory and Policy Monitoring:
- Monitor transmission planning activities and interconnection policies within ERCOT, ensuring that projects adhere to the latest regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in ERCOT transmission or interconnection.
- Deep expertise in power system modeling and ERCOT interconnection processes.
- Strong, established relationships with utilities and ERCOT stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and solving complex technical and regulatory issues.
