Job Description

Role: Principal C&I Engineer

Type: Contract, outside IR35

Project Scope:

This role is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK; however, it requires mobility and occasional travel to customer sites and for face-to-face meetings with colleagues as needed.

The C&I engineer will be responsible for executing project work in line with Discipline Design Instructions, adhering to Company and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, and meeting man-hour, cost budgets, and project schedule targets.

Deliverables:

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, capable of working independently, and possess demonstrable leadership qualities. You should be confident in your ability to deliver the Control and Instrumentation scope of a project on time and within budget, while also facilitating effective work sharing with other execution centers globally.

The C&I Engineer will:

- Prepare RFQ packages for Instrumentation according to Client, Company, and Project procedures and standards.
- Review Vendor quotations, prepare technical bid evaluations, and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor.
- Technically approve Order Variation Summaries.
- Conduct coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as needed.
- Organize and manage C&I coordination with counterparts at the High Value Engineering Centre(s).
- Liaise with other Disciplines and the Client to ensure deliverables are issued on the agreed dates.
- Provide updates to the weekly reporting, raising any concerns as early as possible to the Project management team.

- Assess progress and produce reports associated with procedures, inputting into the Delivery Management System. Propose plans to recover from slippage, correct inefficiencies, and implement any agreed actions.
- Advise project management on any issues that may arise.
