An EPCI client of Leap29 are urgently looking for a Vessel Superintendent to join their team on a 12 month contract basis.
The client, a major SURF installation contractor with operations globally have been winning projects on a consistent basis and therefore their Asset Management Group is looking for an additional team member to assist with a growing amount of vessel related support tasks. The Vessel Superintendent will follow up daily operational issues for one or more of their vessels and communicates regularly with many internal stake holders, the operational management on board, and with marine partner’s onshore organization.
Typical work tasks:
- Lead readiness campaigns for chartered vessels
- Follow up daily operational issues on our vessels
- Ensure that the vessel gets onshore support as and when required
- Communicate with ship owner on technical/operational and commercial matters
- Act as the single point of contact towards vessel owner for assigned vessel(s)
- Manage delivery and redelivery of vessels
- Be the link between the EPCI project needs and vessel owner
- Follow up performance of the vessel owner and ensure that the duties under the Charter Parties are carried out satisfactorily
- Follow up internal services such as IT, HSEQ, procurement and logistics etc. to ensure that necessary services are carried out on shore to support the vessel operation
- Plan, organize and execute small modification scopes
- General support to Commercial department and projects. Ensure that vessel specifications and capabilities are communicated and understood.
- Handle vessel documentation
- Ensure client approvals and vessel assurance are carried out in due time
