Fabric Technician / Handyman – Middenmeer, North Holland
Full Time Position
Preferred Language Requirement – Dutch Speaking – Must speak fluent English
As a Fabric Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the availability and functionality of critical environmental installations at our client’s Middenmeer data centre.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager and fellow day technicians, assisting the team as needed. You will take the lead on tasks such as AHU filter changes, roof equipment LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and coordinating contractors working on AC systems, following guidelines set by the Technical Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with the CE crew team in the NOC to ensure the controlled and approved operation of critical equipment.
- Executing LOTO procedures on mechanical equipment, as approved and directed by the NOC.
- Operating and driving specialized commercial lifting equipment, primarily aerial work platforms and pallet trucks.
- Collaborating with the day team to maximize energy efficiency by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining AHU filters.
- Adhering to all quality, health, safety, and environmental policies within the CE domain.
- Coordinating with the site team during large filter deliveries to ensure a smooth process without disrupting the loading dock area.
- Reporting health and safety violations through the company’s process.
- Always upholding a professional image of the company.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, with the requirement to wear the companies uniform at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Practical knowledge and/or experience with construction services.
- Understanding of electrical systems and awareness of the associated risks and hazards.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
- Strong team player with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Willingness to work outside of standard hours to complete scheduled work.
- Proficient in computer usage, including report creation and printing, with experience in Microsoft programs preferred.
