Maintenance Engineer E & I – Rotterdam, Netherlands
Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position
Language Requirement: Fluent Dutch Speaking
Join our client’s Maintenance Engineering team and work with fellow engineers to improve the maintenance and asset management of our installations.
At their state-of-the-art 1070 MW plant, located in the heart of Rotterdam's port area, they integrate cutting-edge technology with a Utility Center that provides essential services like steam, electricity, water, air, and heat, including a CHP unit. The plant plays a crucial role in the energy transition, and we are excited about future initiatives for this key location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plans according to NEN3140/3840 standards to ensure the safety of electrical installations.
- Offer expertise in electrical and instrumentation (I&C) matters.
- Diagnose and fix issues that could impact the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our installations.
- Assess and report on the performance, condition, and lifespan of installations and components, providing recommendations for maintenance and optimizations.
- Plan, manage, and ensure adherence to ATEX regulations.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: HBO-level degree in Energy Technology, Measurement, Control, or a related field.
- Certification: IV/WV NEN3140/NEN3840 certified.
- Experience: At least 5 years in the energy, process/chemical industry, with extensive experience in preparing and conducting overhauls.
- Skills: Proficiency in automation, PLCs, instrumentation hardware, and SAP.
- Fluent in Dutch and technical English; German is a plus.
- Attributes: Positive, result-oriented, self-managing, with strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Capable of working effectively in a team and managing responsibilities.
