Job Description

Lead EI&CS Engineer (Technical Project Leader) – Echt, Netherlands

Preferred Language Requirement – Dutch Speaking or Native Afrikaans

Contract Duration – An initial 12-month contract working via Leap29, after the 12 months there is a potential permanent position

You will work on varied projects within different industries and will be involved from the beginning to the end of a project. You will work on concept, basic and detailed engineering where you apply process safety and process optimisation, among other things. You are responsible for delivering projects within the set frameworks. The control records, design verifications and written reports are also your responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently liaise with external customer relations at the direction of the Department Head, Group Leader, Senior Lead Engineer, E&I Experts.
  • Translate customer requests into an actual scope and be able to take charge of the process (Conceptual, Basic and Detail).
  • Producing partial budgets for offers in respect of design changes under the supervision of the Group Lead.
  • Lead a Project Team and Draftsmen.
  • Able to read P&ID/functional designs and knowledge to carry out the basic engineering.
  • Is the person who is ultimately responsible for the monodisciplinary projects from inception to project closure.
  • Writing/Assessing technical specifications for purchasing components and outsourcing work to third parties.
  • Proposing improvements in regards to relevant area of works/speciality.
  • Involved in the tender process in regards to estimation, planning and delineation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrument & Control Engineering.
  • Over 5+ years acting as a Lead Engineer.
  • Experience of use of management techniques, including budgeting, cost control, planning and progress techniques.
  • Knowledge of standards, regulations and procedures, both technical.
  • Knowledge of process and plant organisations, safety and government regulations
  • Knowledge of control engineering (PLC/DCS/SCADA) and Instrumentation engineering.
  • Depth and broad knowledge of electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines such as NEN 1010, NEN 60204, ATEX 60079 and SIL 61508/61511.
  • VCA/VOL
