Lead Solution Architect is required for a leader within cloud implementation, application development and managed services based in Oslo, Norway. They have 5 Product Development Teams, and the Lead Solution Architect shall work closely with the teams and will be responsible for designing robust and scalable architectures for new applications and leading the architecture work when they migrate legacy systems to the cloud. The ideal consultant will have extensive experience in AWS and a proven track record of successful architecture design and migration projects. 

The Lead Solution Architect will be part of the Technology Management team, and report directly to the CTO. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed solutions and Microservices 
• Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud solution architectures
• Collaborate with internal teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to gather requirements and design comprehensive solutions. 
• Work closely with our Foundations team and our Cloud Architects 
• Provide architectural guidance and best practices for cloud application development.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines. 
• Conduct assessments of existing solution architectures and recommend improvements or redesigns as necessary. 
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies throughout the architecture design and implementation process. 
• Stay current with technology advancements and industry best practices to continuously improve our solution architecture strategies.

Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Lead Solution Architect and deep understanding of AWS services and solution architectures 
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and Terraform
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native applications as a Lead Solution Architect 
• Experience with re-designing legacy systems to the cloud, including planning, execution, and optimization. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is highly preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with other cloud platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. 
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
