Job Description

 

Position Overview:

Leap29 are currently assisting a client who is on the lookout for a Construction manager in the Texas.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing utility-scale solar projects and battery storage from the design-development phase through to construction and system commissioning. You will manage the construction process, coordinating with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and successfully.

 

Responsibilities:

- Oversee solar and storage projects from site diligence and engineering design through to construction and commissioning.

- Develop internal processes to track and share project KPIs, enabling company growth.

- Ensure projects adhere to budgets and timelines, aligning with internal objectives.

- Assist in reviewing active and potential projects for design optimization and value.

- Collaborate with internal development teams and external engineers on design and value engineering of projects.

- Participate in the procurement of construction equipment.

- Communicate effectively with both scheduled and unscheduled updates on pipeline status, potential and actual risks, progress against timelines, and budget performance.

- Provide progress and updates to external financial stakeholders.

- Manage and mitigate risks associated with the project pipeline.

- Establish internal processes to ensure project site safety, quality workmanship, and compliance with project plans and specifications.

 

Qualifications:

- Over 3 years of experience managing utility-scale solar projects.

- Field experience as a solar installer or electrician.

- Exceptional communication skills.

- Professional, courteous, and responsive demeanor.

- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities independently.

- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

- Team player with a positive attitude, able to collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders.

- Organized and committed to quality and accuracy.
